Balloon Flight Surrey

Surrey has some of the busiest airspace in the world being on the flight paths of both Heathrow and Gatwick airports, as such our launch sites are chosen extremely carefully and the prevailing wind will play a significant role in determining the flight on a particular day.

Virgin Balloon Flights has several launch sites in the area, including Guildford and the most up to date list can be found on their website Locations page.

On the other hand despite its proximity to London there is some beautiful countryside in Surrey with many magnificent houses and sites that can be viewed from your flight. Flights take off from locations in Guildford, near to the River Wey at Goldalming and Farnham (next to the castle).

Aerial Attractions

During the balloon ride you may see Farnham Castle, Guildford and its Cathedral, Frensham Ponds and the Alice Holt Forest. Other attractions that may be seen, dependent on wind direction of course, are Waverley Abbey and Black Lake where A.A. Milne was inspired to write Winnie the Pooh. You may see aerial views of the towns of Guildford, Woking Goldalming, Hindhead, Cranleigh and Farncombe.
